Biography
Brian Reckas is a non-practising Senior Consultant to Parke Lawyers. Drawing on more than 45 years of association with the legal profession, including 15 years in Johannesburg and 30 years in Melbourne, Brian provides occasional internal guidance to the firm.
During his legal career, Brian developed extensive experience in mortgage and securities documentation and acted for major banks and corporate lenders across a wide range of financing transactions. His experience also encompassed property matters, including adverse possession, retirement village law and conveyancing.
Although Brian no longer practises law or advises clients, the firm continues to benefit from his experience and institutional knowledge through his internal consulting role.
Brian is a member of Doxa, an organisation that provides holiday camps and educational opportunities for disadvantaged Victorian children and young people.
Outside the firm, Brian has a longstanding interest in horse racing and is a member of the Victoria Racing Club, Melbourne Racing Club and Moonee Valley Racing Club. He can often be found trackside following the sport he enjoys.
