Clinton Hodgart is a lawyer practising in property law, mortgage enforcement, business law and commercial litigation.  He also holds national accreditation as a mediator under the NMAS and brings a pragmatic, solution-focused approach to dispute resolution.

Clinton holds a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Victoria.  He is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Victorian Association for Dispute Resolution and Freemasons Victoria.

Prior to practising law, Clinton worked across the business and technology sectors, with a strong foundation in entrepreneurship and innovation.  He has contributed to complex commercial matters, including acting as the instructing solicitor in appellate proceedings before the Full Court of the Federal Court in a dispute with the Commissioner of Taxation.  He has also been involved in high-value settlement negotiations concerning multi-million dollar finance and property transactions.

Clinton’s interests include deep field astrophotography, piano, viticulture and the study of rare early printed books (incunabula).  He brings to his practice a calm presence, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to the considered, strategic resolution of client matters.
