Parke Lawyers proudly supports White Ribbon Day and is raising awareness to stamp out violence against women.
White Ribbon Day, which is officially marked on November 25 is an internationally-recognised day of action and calls upon all Australians to stand up, speak out and act to stop men’s violence against women.
Over 12 months, on average, one woman is killed every week in Australia as a result domestic violence.
Violence against women in any way is unacceptable and the team at Parke Lawyers is raising critical awareness of this issue that is important in every community and affects people around us.
Parke Lawyers encourages the public to get involved in White Ribbon Day activities.
Attending local events, taking the White Ribbon Oath and wearing a white ribbon throughout November are easy ways to make a difference.
Numerous events are being held in cities and towns to mark White Ribbon Day and funds raised go towards supporting White Ribbon’s national primary prevention initiative, which aims to stop violence before it occurs, through education programs in schools, workplaces and the broader community.
White Ribbon is committed to building an Australian community where every woman lives in safety, free from all forms of men’s abuse. Support White Ribbon directly by making a donation or find out more about White Ribbon Day.
