At Parke Lawyers we can help you if your visa application has been cancelled or refused. Our team of expert immigration lawyers specialise in immigration law and we assist you with all the decision reviews and appeals. We will represent you and help you to get your application reviewed .

What Is a Visa Refusal?

This means that your case officer has decided against granting your visa. Once this decision has been made, you will be given notice about the visa refusal in writing. The only way that you may get your visa refusal or cancellation reviewed is by making an application for review of the visa refusal decision to the Migration Review Tribunal or the Refugee Review Tribunal.

Appealing to the Migration Review Tribunal

There are strict time limits applicable in terms of lodging your application for review. If you miss the deadline, you will have lost your right of review forever. Applications for review are lodged with the Tribunal registry and if your application is valid you may be entitled to a bridging visa. This will let you stay in Australia until the application for review is heard and finalised.

It is a good idea to have the assistance of your immigration lawyer as this process can be difficult and also emotionally challenging. The rules relating to bridging visas are often misinterpreted by visa applicants and the advice of our Australian immigration lawyers can be of great help.
